Happy Charlotte Charles Day!

There’s a bright happy floral dress that I’ve been meaning to get from ModCloth for a few months now, but I didn’t have enough time to get it on Wednesday and get it for today, so this is just basically…a normal outfit for me. Uh, I think I wore this exact outfit last week to work, actually. Maybe I had on different tights.

Also, I have no accessories and no pie. So…I kind of half-assed this whole thing. Sorry, internet :(

I love those shoes, though. Like, far too much. I have them in two colors.

(I never know what to do in pictures and I’m always super squinty. I don’t have super low self-esteem about my appearance—I recognize that I’m nominally attractive. I just think I photograph extremely poorly. My eyes are never open, for one. But I’ll look in the mirror and think, “I look adorable in this!” and I’ll pull out my phone and take a picture and be like, “OH GOD WHAT HAPPENED?” It’s very odd.)

what you see in the top left corner is my plan a for today. however, it’s been about 2 years since i’ve actually worn plan a, and it no longer wants to zip all the way up. tragic, i know. i’m gonna see about getting it altered sometime next week.

and so the other three pics are plan b! and now that i’m all decked out in bright florals, it’s off to get breakfast at ihop, go grocery shopping, make a pie, and possibly do a booze and comics run if there’s time. :)

Tragically, I don’t have yellow or white tights. Or really any color that would match this dress aside from black. Also, I don’t have giant sunglasses. Or pie :(

But! This is a good dress! I think it is very Chuck-like. And I felt very cheerful wearing it, except for when I dropped my entire diet pepsi. RIP, DIET PEPSI FROM IKEA THAT SPILLED ALL OVER MY HAND WHILE WE WERE CARRYING FOUR JEFFS BACK TO THE CAR :(

Anyway. I am never particularly happy with photos of myself. Becca took these while making me laugh because she’s a jerk. And we will go with them for now.

SO! i was having a bout of missing pushing daisies this morning and tweeted that i needed to spend saturday dressed up as chuck — bright dress, flashy sunglasses, and making/eating all of the pie. katie said she would, too, so i said something about having a charlotte charles day and posting pics on tumblr, and lexie, kait, and m all jumped on board, too.
